SWEENEY, J.

State courts have criminal jurisdiction over Indian tribal members, except for crimes committed on tribal trust land or allotted land.1 The trial court here concluded as a matter of law, based upon well-supported findings of fact, that the crimes committed by Michael James Boyd and Sheldon Lee Pakootas were neither on tribal trust land nor allotted land. We accordingly affirm the court's conclusion that the State proved jurisdiction...
