The defendant was convicted of the murder in the first degree of Harlen Hardrick and the assault by means of a dangerous weapon, namely a rifle, of Lincoln Hardrick. He claims the judge erred in (1) denying his motions for required findings of not guilty; (2) denying his motion for a new trial resulting from newly available evidence; (3) admitting videotape evidence of the defendant's brother beating the murder victim with a baseball bat several months...
