DeMarco Williams pleaded guilty to kidnapping and carjacking, in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 1201(a)(1) and 2119. This appeal relates only to the stiff sentence he received for those crimes — 315 months' imprisonment, five years' supervised release, a fine of $5,000, and a special assessment of $200. The length of the sentence was attributable in part to two adjustments in his offense level that the district court made...
