I. INTRODUCTION

The defendant, Charlene M. Oldenburg, was charged with making a terroristic threat in violation of Neb.Rev.Stat. § 28-311.01 (Reissue 1995), with first degree assault under Neb.Rev.Stat. § 28-308 (Reissue 1995), and with the use of a deadly weapon in the commission of both of those crimes under Neb.Rev.Stat. § 28-1205 (Reissue 1995). The charges resulted from an incident where Charlene pointed a gun at her husband...
