¶ 1. This appeal arises from the Circuit Court of Calhoun County as a result of a motion for post-conviction relief filed by John Paul Vance. Vance was indicted for murder, but, pursuant to a plea agreement which included a sentencing recommendation of ten years, pled guilty to the charge of manslaughter.
