COHEN, J.

Following a jury-waived trial in Superior Court, the defendant was convicted of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, in violation of G. L. c. 94C, § 32(A)(c), and with committing this offense within one thousand feet of a school, in violation of G. L. c. 94C, § 32J. At issue was whether the defendant intended to distribute a 2.71 gram piece of crack cocaine found in his sock, or whether it was intended for personal use.
