Aaron K. Gibbs appeals from a circuit court judgment and order committing him for institutional care under WIS. STAT. ch. 980 (1997-98).1 Gibbs argues that ch. 980 does not authorize the filing of a petition against an individual adjudicated delinquent under former WIS. STAT. ch. 48 (1993-94). Based on this contention, Gibbs claims that the judgment and commitment order must be vacated and the petition dismissed...
