The plaintiff Nigel Murray was arrested on April 9, 1997, while in the back seat of a vehicle leased to the plaintiff Blueth Ogunnoikki. The car was impounded for approximately one month. Murray was subsequently tried and acquitted of all charges, after a jury trial, on February 24, 1998.
