By grand jury indictment dated January 8, 1998, defendant was charged with one count of aggravated rape, one count of forcible rape, and one count of aggravated crime against nature. He pleaded not guilty; and, on November 30, 1998, a twelve-member jury that found him guilty of forcible rape on the aggravated rape count and guilty as charged on the other two counts tried him.
