Appellant Christopher Lee Duvall pleaded guilty to aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault. See Tex. Pen.Code Ann. §§ 20.04, 22.02 (West 1994 & Supp. 2001). After accepting the pleas and receiving evidence relevant to punishment, the district court adjudged appellant guilty of both offenses and sentenced him to imprisonment for twelve years in both causes.
