GOTHARD, Judge.

Defendant, Matt Schieffler, was convicted of possession of heroin in violation of LSA-R.S. 40:966 C. He was subsequently sentenced to ten years without the benefit of probation or suspension of sentence and was ordered to pay a $5,000.00 fine.1 Defendant appeals his conviction and sentence for possession of heroin.
