In February 1999, plaintiff entered into a building improvement contract with defendant Jonathan Morris whereby plaintiff agreed to make specified alterations and renovations to his commercial building—at Morris' expense—so that Morris and defendant Nanette La Rose (Morris' wife) could use the premises as a dental office.
