Appellant Herbert Hendry was charged and convicted, after a three-day jury trial, of felon in possession of a firearm, a violation of Minn.Stat. § 624.713, subds. 1(b), 2 (1998). The district court sentenced appellant to the mandatory minimum sentence of 60 months in prison.
