A jury convicted appellant of possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), more than four but less than 200 grams in weight. See TEX.HEALTH & SAFETY CODE ANN. § 481.113 (Vernon Supp.2000). The trial court sentenced appellant to twelve years' confinement, but later altered the sentence to ten years' confinement.
