Jeffrey Collis and Jody Hyde were tried on charges which included armed robbery and hijacking a motor vehicle. On motion by Hyde, the trial court declared a mistrial. Both Collis and Hyde sought to prevent retrial by filing pleas in bar based on the theory of double jeopardy. The trial court denied the motions. On retrial, both Collis and Hyde were convicted of armed robbery; Hyde alone was convicted of hijacking...
