This appeal arises out of a medical malpractice action in which the jury awarded the estate (plaintiff) of deceased Rachel Sweatt (Sweatt) $850,000 in damages as a result of the joint and several negligence of general surgeons She Ling Wong (defendant) and Eugene Stanton (Stanton).
