Susie Virginia Gallagher (mother) appeals from a ruling of the Circuit Court of Fairfax County (trial court) which award her former husband, Patrick Stephen Gallagher (father), credit for non-conforming child support payments following the parties' mediated adjustment of their joint physical custody arrangement. On appeal, mother contends the trial court erroneously (1) applied the exception established in Acree v. Acree, 2 Va.App. 151,
