SCHUMAN, J.

At the age of 30, plaintiff sued defendant, her stepmother's brother, for damages resulting from his sexual abuse of her when she was between the ages of 10 and 17. Defendant1 moved for a directed verdict on the ground that plaintiff failed to file her claim within the time limits established by statute. The trial court denied defendant's motion, and a jury ultimately awarded plaintiff $325,000 in damages. Defendant appeals...
