Appellant Edward Jessie Warfield was a resident of the Aryan Nations compound near Hayden, Idaho. He was convicted of aggravated assault for his involvement in an attack upon two white motorists who drove past the compound. The principal issue presented by this appeal is whether the district court violated Warfield's First Amendment rights when the court took Warfield's racist beliefs into consideration in denying Warfield's motion for a reduction...
