Cargill Corporation appeals the district court's order vacating an arbitration award. Because the district court exceeded its authority, we reverse.

Between fall of 1995 and winter of 1996, Mark Hoffman, an Iowa farmer, entered into ten contracts to supply Cargill with 475,000 bushels of corn. Five of these called for delivery of "old crop" corn between February and July of 1996. The other five called for delivery of "new crop" corn between...
