The plaintiffs, Michael Ammirata and Margaret Ammirata, appeal from the judgment of the trial court dismissing their appeal from the decision of the defendant zoning board of appeals of the town of Redding (zoning board), which sustained the issuance of a cease and desist order by the Redding zoning enforcement officer, the defendant Aimee Pardee (zoning officer).1
