Appellant James Boget was convicted upon jury verdict of criminal mischief ($500.00 to $1500.00), a Class A misdemeanor. See TEX.PEN.CODE ANN. § 28.03 (Vernon Supp.2000). The court assessed punishment at one year confinement and a $500.00 fine. The jail sentence was probated.
