The defendant, VanVern Blake, appeals from the judgment of conviction following a jury trial on one count of sexual assault in the second degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-71 (a) (1).1 The defendant claims that the trial court improperly (1) refused to instruct the jury on the issue of fraudulent misrepresentation and (2) failed to submit written interrogatories to the jury.
