Timothy Wayne Palmer (the appellant) was convicted in the Patrick County Circuit Court of forging a public document in violation of Code § 18.2-168. He was sentenced to serve a term of ten days incarceration. On appeal, the appellant contends the trial court erred in finding the traffic checkpoint at which he was stopped constitutional and permitting the evidence obtained in the stop to be admitted at trial.
