The principal question is whether, or to what extent, a residential landlord is legally obliged to protect its tenants from the foreseeable criminal acts of third persons. But this question we need not answer as the jury here found the landlord's negligence was not a proximate cause of the tenant's injuries in any event. We therefore reverse the Court of Appeals and affirm the trial court's dismissal of the tenant...
