Appellant, Carlos Anthony McFerrin, was found guilty by a jury of felony-capital murder in connection with the aggravated robbery and death of Robert Branscum, the owner of Quality Liquor Store in Blytheville, Arkansas. As a habitual offender with two prior felony convictions, McFerrin was sentenced to life imprisonment in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
