We find that plaintiff became a partner of defendant law firm effective January 1, 1997, as expressly stated in the Partnership Agreement which plaintiff signed (see, Matthews v Burns, 205 Misc. 1006, 1013; see also, Matter of Rockaway Care Ctr. v Axelrod, 167 A.D.2d 747).
