RULON, C.J.:

Defendant Marshall E. Humphrey appeals his conviction for rape under K.S.A. 21-3502(a)(1)(A), claiming the trial court wrongfully denied his Batson challenge and committed various prejudicial evidentiary errors at trial. We affirm.

A detailed recitation of the underlying facts is not necessary to the resolution of the issues presented. As such, we need not revisit the facts except when necessary in our discussion of the issues.
