Plaintiff Julia Santos worked as an organizer for the Knitgoods Workers' Union, Local 155 ("the Union"). Three weeks after she began medical leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act ("FMLA"), 29 U.S.C. § 2601 et seq, she was terminated for reasons that were neither discriminatory nor retaliatory.
