A pharmacist filed a complaint with the medical board claiming a psychotherapist had been prescribing unusually large quantities of drugs and controlled substances to certain of his patients. The board began investigating the psychotherapist for possible illegal acts and issued a subpoena duces tecum for the questioned patient files. The psychotherapist resisted the subpoena, asserting his patients' privacy...
