On December 23, 1996, defendant-appellant Douglas Coley, assisted by Joseph Green, kidnapped, robbed, and attempted to murder David Moore in Toledo. Then, on January 3, 1997, Samar El-Okdi was shot between the eyes and left to die in an alley in Toledo. On January 7, 1997, Toledo police stopped a Pontiac sedan that was owned by El-Okdi and being driven by Green. Coley was a passenger. A three-judge panel convicted Green of El-Okdi's murder...
