Craig Haberman appeals his conviction for malicious harassment, RCW 9A.36.080, based on angry racial comments and threats he made to a grocery clerk who had refused to sell him beer the previous night when Haberman appeared intoxicated. Haberman argues that (1) the State charged him under an invalid, old law, which the Legislature had amended before the incident, and (2) the trial court gave erroneous jury instructions based upon outdated statutory language...
