Appellees, Daniel Orlando Cardenas and John I. Davis, were charged with possession of more than four and less than 200 grams of cocaine. Appellees filed a motion to suppress, which the trial court granted. We address whether the trial court erred in granting appellees' motion on the grounds their continued detention by the investigating officer was not justified, thereby invalidating their consent to have their car searched.
