This appeal from a murder conviction raises two issues: (1) whether the evidence to support an assault-with-a-dangerous-weapon charge was sufficient to survive a motion for judgment of acquittal, and (2) whether the trial justice erred in ruling that the state had shown good cause to extend the 120-day-trial deadline of the Interstate Agreement on Detainers Act (IADA), G.L. 1956 chapter 13 of title 13.
