This is a direct appeal from a conviction of first degree murder and a sentence of death on two counts. La. Const. art. V, § 5(D). The defendant's appeal is based on a total of twenty-seven assignments of error.1 We find that none of the defendant's arguments concerning the guilt or penalty phase of his trial for Etienne Nachampassak's murder constitute reversible error...
