[¶ 1] The adoptive parents of Dorothy V. appeal from a judgment of the District Court (Newport, MacMichael, J.) finding that Dorothy was in circumstances of jeopardy to her health and welfare. See 22 M.R.S.A. §§ 4035 & 4036 (1992 & Supp. 2000).
