These cross appeals arise from an eight year old dispute between Simas, a homeowner, and the House of Cabinets, Inc., a building contractor (contractor), over a homeimprovement project gone awry. After nonbinding arbitration pursuant to G. L. c. 142A, the case was heard de novo in the Superior Court.
