¶ 1. Montgomery Griffith was charged and convicted of simple assault, trespassing and disturbing the peace in the Municipal Court of Bay St. Louis. He appealed to the Circuit Court of Hancock County where, after a trial de novo, he was again found guilty. He was fined five hundred dollars for each conviction, given a suspended sentence of eighteen months and five years probation subject to good behavior and certain specific conditions...
