TIRE GROUP INTERNATIONAL, INC. v. CONFIANCA MUDANCAS

No. 3D00-2049.

776 So.2d 1057 (2001)

TIRE GROUP INTERNATIONAL, INC., Appellant, v. CONFIANCA MUDANCAS & TRANSPORTES, etc., et al., Appellees.

District Court of Appeal of Florida, Third District.

February 7, 2001.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

Juan C. Martinez, and Jose M. Ferrer, for appellant.

Robert P. Lithman, for appellees.

Before SCHWARTZ, C.J., and SORONDO, and RAMIREZ, JJ.

RAMIREZ, J.

Appellant/Plaintiff Tire Group International, Inc. (Tire Group), appeals the entry of an order vacating a default judgment entered against individual non-resident defendants. We affirm because the complaint fails to allege personal jurisdiction and Tire Group did not comply with the statutes allowing substitute service of process.

Tire Group sued two Brazilian corporate defendants and seven Brazilian individual defendants.1
