The defendant, Jeremiah Ethan Hall, was originally indicted on a charge of first degree murder in the shotgun slaying of Paul Lucas Adams during a robbery. Shortly before the defendant was scheduled to be tried on a lesser charge of second degree murder, he pled guilty to a responsive charge of manslaughter and to a new bill of information for armed robbery.
