This case requires us to review an award of alimony, child support, and attorney's fees pendente lite. For reasons that follow, we shall vacate the award and remand for further proceedings.

Appellant, Timothy Long, and appellee, Joan Long, were married on April 6, 1979, and separated in October 1998.1 The parties have three children, one of whom is a minor with attention deficit disorder.
