On July 1, 1997, twelve-year-old Brandon Levy was killed while crossing the street with his bicycle at the intersection of Coral Ridge Drive and Lake View Drive. When Brandon approached the intersection with his friend David Lowe, the boys noticed that the traffic light was not working.
