¶ 1. Alvin Jude Russell was convicted of murder in the Circuit Court of the First Judicial District of Harrison County and was sentenced to life imprisonment. The Court of Appeals reversed and remanded the case for a new trial for failure of the trial court to grant jury instructions on the defendant's theory of defense.
