The appellant, Antoine Warren, pled guilty to murder, a violation of § 13A-6-2(a)(1), Ala.Code 1975, and second-degree assault, a violation of § 13A-6-21(a)(2), Ala.Code 1975. The trial court sentenced him, as a habitual offender, to serve concurrent terms of life in prison on the murder conviction and fifteen years in prison on the second-degree assault conviction.
