Floyd and Ruth Jacobs filed suit against Nationwide Mutual Fire Insurance Company ("Nationwide") in Florida state court, seeking appraisal under the terms of their Florida insurance contract. Nationwide removed the action to federal district court based on diversity jurisdiction.
