Adams was found guilty by a jury of possession of a firearm by a felon in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1), and sentenced to 51 months and three years supervised release. At trial, the government relied upon a series of incriminating statements made by Mr. Adams immediately following his arrest. On appeal, he contends that the district court's exclusion of expert testimony by a clinical psychologist...
