STEWART, J.

Pursuant to a plea bargain agreement, the defendant, Curtis L. Woodard, entered a Crosby plea to conspiracy to distribute cocaine, a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance, contrary to the provisions of La. R.S. 40:979 and 40:967. He was sentenced to serve five years imprisonment at hard labor. The defendant now appeals on the basis that the trial court erred in refusing to quash the bill of information for failure of the state to timely prosecute...
