Appellant Omar Wilkerson was tried and convicted of murder and related charges in a jury trial in the Circuit Court for the City of Baltimore. He was sentenced to life for first degree murder, and twenty years consecutive, the first five years without parole, for use of a handgun in a crime of violence.
