STATEMENT OF CASE

Wilfred Francois ("the defendant") was charged by bill of information with possession of cocaine, a violation of La. R.S. 40:967. He was arraigned and pled not guilty on November 16, 1999. On January 11, 2000, he withdrew his not guilty plea and pled guilty under State v. Crosby, 338 So.2d 584 (La.1976). That same day the State filed a multiple bill to which he pled guilty...
