¶ 1. On April 9, 1996, Willard Perry pled guilty before the Lee County Circuit Court to one count of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and one count of embezzlement from his employer. The judge found Perry's pleas to have been knowingly and voluntarily entered. Perry was sentenced to serve thirty years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections for the cocaine charge...
